The Italians have got it! Also in the kitchen! The culinary journey from Lake Garda to Sicily offers typical recipes embedded in the landscapes where they have been passed down and refined over generations. The Wunderschön presenters track them down and present them in restaurants and private kitchens. On Lake Garda they cook freshly caught bluefish with cinnamon and capers. In South Tyrol you find crispy Schüttelbrot and bread dumplings, Italian refined. In Milan, Tamina Kallert gets to know a special Italian aperitif culture and, of course, risotto Milanese. Pasta specialities are on show in the regions of Tuscany and Sardinia. Rome and Naples shine with their pizza culture. Sicily is also a culinary highlight with stuffed squid in Malvasia wine and, for dessert, the traditional cannoli with sheep's ricotta.
