Matera is European Capital of Culture 2019. In Basilicata, on the border of Puglia, lies Matera. The small town is European Capital of Culture 2019. Right on the border with Apulia lies Matera. The old town with its caves is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In one of the caves, Chef Carlo Pozzuoli runs a restaurant. He is the man of typical specialties of his hometown + has to cook an official dish representing Matera as European Capital of Culture 2019.
