Small against big: The incredible duel

With ten exciting and hotly contested duels, "Klein gegen Groß - Das unglaubliche Duell" with Kai Pflaume starts the year 2023. Among other things, there is a family duel with soccer world champion Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife Ana Ivanovic. In addition, Wimbledon winner Angelique Kerber, singer Max Giesinger and actors Christoph Maria Herbst, Tobias Moretti, Diana Amft, Heino Ferch and Ludwig Trepte face off in a duel.
What do you get when you combine tennis balls, a trapeze, a soccer world champion and two sports-mad kids? Correct, a spectacular "small against big duel"! Katharina (11) and Daniel (12) are sure that they can catch more tennis balls in 60 seconds than Bastian Schweinsteiger + his wife Ana Ivanovic, who are competing together for the first time in a TV show. The very special challenge in the duel: While one team partner passes the balls, the other hangs upside down on the trapeze.
Tennis balls also play a decisive role in the duel of Wimbledon winner Angelique Kerber. Twelve-year-old tennis talent Karlotta from Dortmund, runner-up in North Rhine-Westphalia at U12 level, challenges the former No. 1 in the WTA world rankings to a "volley duel" in the "Klein gegen Groß" studio. In 90 seconds, as many balls as possible fed into a ball machine have to be returned to the scoring area on the T-line.
Musician Max Giesinger has just five seconds to recognize the choruses of German pop songs and name the corresponding artist. If he fails to do so, he will not be awarded a point. And he urgently needs a lot of points to prevail in his duel against Theo. The eleven-year-old is an enthusiastic drummer and is also very familiar with German pop songs.
In the balancing duel, in which 13-year-old Finya competes against Heino Ferch, the goal is to run as fast as possible on a balancing roller through a high course. In addition to courage, this requires good body awareness and a strong sense of balance. Heino Ferch will benefit from the fact that in his younger years he was a gymnast for the Bremen 1860 gymnastics and sports club in the German national league.
The duels between actor Tobias Moretti and animal filmmaker Andreas Kieling will be animalistic. Eleven-year-old Lauritz challenges Tobias Moretti to a cattle breed duel. He has to name the right type of cow on the basis of detailed photographs. Andreas Kieling and eight-year-old Camillo go in search of clues in their duel: they have to identify as many animals as possible by their footprints or hoofprints.
Christoph Maria Herbst also has to look closely in his encounter with Antonia (12). She claims that she only recognizes actresses + actors by their eyes! Will Christoph Maria Herbst have the right eye for his acting colleagues in "Klein gegen Groß"?
