The Taste - episode 2

‘The Taste’ started its 13th season. At last, amateur and professional chefs can once again create perfect spoons of flavour.

The teams of coaches Alexander Herrmann, Alex Kumptner, Tim Raue and Frank Rosin are almost full. Which cooking talents can still score points and compete in the first team cook-off? For the first challenge, guest judge Viktoria Fuchs has brought along flavor combinations from which delicious spoon creations are to be conjured up: Grapefruit plus tarragon, pear plus bay leaf, apricot plus verbena and papaya plus lemongrass. Which team is convincing - and which is unfortunately not?

What do the candidates serve the gourmet coaches Alexander Herrmann, Alex Kumptner, Tim Raue and Frank Rosin? Spoonfuls of delicious food - from Swabian onion roast with cranberry and sweet potato to choux aux craquelin with cod, mushroom, apple, miso and lemon. Who will secure a place in one of the teams and end up with their own cookery book, their own winning dish in the shops and 50,000 euros?
