Unfulfilled desire to have a child - thanks to medicine to baby bliss?
Getting pregnant "just like that" - that doesn't work out for every sixth couple in Germany. Endometriosis and the hormone disorder PCOS are among the most common causes of involuntary childlessness. The film accompanies couples from the first examinations to the embryo transfer to the pregnancy test - and afterwards. It shows what is possible today in the laboratories and surgeries of fertility clinics, and what challenges the treatments bring for the body and psyche. The couples face emotional months full of effort, deep disappointments and new hopes. Can medicine still help them have the child they want?
