Crazy about the Sea - Discovering the World from the Water - Farewell to the Small Cruise Ship
The small cruise ship drifts off Maria La Gorda in Cuba. At 401 metres, the seabed is too deep to drop anchor here. Therefore, the passengers are brought to the landing point by tender boat. There they are welcomed with Latin American music. For Dagmar, Ernst-Dieter, Barbara, Anja and Katharina, it's straight back onto a boat from there, because they want to go snorkelling. The anticipation is great among the tour group. The water temperature of a pleasant 29 degrees invites them to splash around and explore. While some of them observe nature under water, Titus and Siegfried prefer to visit the national park "Parque national de Guanahacabibes". Here they can marvel at a "cenote", an extremely rare freshwater hole.
Siegfried in particular finds the visit to the national park highly interesting, as the retired teacher studied geology and geography. No wonder Siegfried can read the landscape like a book. Titus, on the other hand, is fascinated by the termite mound; according to the ranger, the animals are said to have eaten an entire tree. Meanwhile, on board, the clock is ticking, because the guests will be back for dinner soon and everything must be prepared for the gala dinner by then. TV chef Nils Egtermeyer prepares his starter creation under the critical eye of chef And.
