Chefs Björn Freitag + Frank Buchholz travel through the Ruhr region with Captain Heinz-Dieter Fröse + his self-built houseboat. The first port of call is the sophisticated Marina Stölting in Gelsenkirchen. An extraordinary setting for the first evening on board + that too with sunset. Fit for a film! "The Pott cooks deliciously and the Pott lives creatively" On their culinary "Route of Industrial Culture", the boat crew visits people who give everything for good food + burn for their projects. From traditional crafts to courageous innovations, from family businesses to solidarity farming. Björn Freitag visits a beekeepers' association in Gelsenkirchen + helps to weave beehives. He receives a whole honeycomb as a thank you. Meanwhile, Frank Buchholz harvests radishes in the shadow of the Zollern colliery + gets a guided tour through a historically designed workers' garden. Then he cycles to Wattenscheid to learn how to sausage at the master butcher Müller + Sohn, and to do it to Italian taste. Dinner is ready! Back on board today: omelette with Mediterranean sausage + glazed vegetables and an entrecôte matured in ash with mini puff pastry pizza cooked.
