Life saver in action - Everyday life at the fire department
When things get tough, they are immediately on the spot. Every second counts for the rescue teams, the technical service or the airport fire brigade. More than 2.000 calls arrive daily at the capital's fire brigade headquarters, which are passed on to the 36 professional fire stations in Berlin. The report accompanies firefighters nationwide, if they rehearse the emergency, recover accident victims or compete against natural disasters.
