Lifesavers up close - when every second counts
"Lebensretter hautnah - Wenn jede Sekunde zählt" shows the nerve-wracking work of emergency services throughout Germany. Thanks to the special camera technology, viewers experience the operations up close. They feel, sense and see everything from the paramedics' perspective. No door remains closed in this reality documentary. With a total of 15 cameras, viewers are up close and personal when every second counts.
Whether it's a serious accident, a fall at home or a patient in a drunken stupor - when they are called out, emergency paramedics and emergency doctors are called out to help people in exceptional situations. Despite their great dedication, the rescuers in distress are sometimes met with hostility and often have to fear for their own health during their missions. Accompanied by cameras, this series allows various rescue teams to look over their shoulders as they go about their daily work.
